The working mechanism of the eye
The brain controls eye movements.
Pupil reflection: The pupil allows the eye to adapt to the light level (expanding in the dark can lead to better vision), and its diameter changes with brightness to adjust the light. Fatigue can cause headaches.
Accommodative reflex: The lens can focus the eye through a small muscle; when this muscle is weakened, it can cause myopia. The curvature of the lens will cause focusing (far objects = smaller curvature).
Convergent reflections: the eyes synchronize nearsightedness and run parallel to distant objects.
Retina: The "film" in the "camera" of the eye; the tissue at the back of the eye uses signals to transmit received images to the brain through electrical impulses in the optic nerve.
Why do you need to protect your eyes
